About Us

Stirling Mortimer was founded in 2005 by two Independent Financial Advisers, Tim Clink and Phil Bowman. Both have been in the financial services industry for many years, Tim since 1985 and Phil since 1983.

Tim and Phil first met in opposition on the hallowed turf of Twickenham in the 1996 County Championship Final. From this meeting stemmed a friendship and mutual trust that has led to the formation of Stirling Mortimer.

During recent years Phil and Tim have looked for investment opportunities to diversify their businesses and offer their clients more choice.

With their understanding of financial products built up through years in the financial services industry, Phil and Tim recognised the need to create Stock Exchange Listed Funds allied to bank guarantees and penalty payments.

Stirling Mortimer is a marketing company that aims to take advantage of the opportunities that have presented themselves, in particular the overseas property investment market and the current downturn in UK land given the lack of liquidity available to developers.
